Today, I am going to share with you my trip to Geneva. I went there for a weekend in December. As you may know, I live in Paris so I went there by car (5 hours by car).

First, I am going to show you what I did in Switzerland and then I will give you some tips if you want to go there too.

The city that I visited when I was in Switzerland was Geneva. Close to the french border, Geneva was the perfect destination: a modern city in the middle of mountains!

The first day of my weekend, I decided to discover the city. The first thing you need to see when you go to Geneva is of course the Jet d’Eau! It is the fountain of Lake Geneva. You can see it pretty close and it is very impressive! 500 liters of water per second are jetted to an altitude of 140 meters!

The Lake Geneva is beautiful so after visiting the Jet d’Eau, I took a boat ride. The boat crosses the lake to go to the other side of the river.

After this beautiful boat tour, I decided to visit the Bains des Pâquis which is located by the lake.

The bains des Pâquis is a place for the water lovers! Here you can find a little beach where you can swim and take sunbaths. You can find also a wellness centre (sauna, beauty treatments). To eat some swiss food you have also a snack bar where you can find a swiss cheese fondue. You can go to the beach and have a beautiful view of the city, it is incredible!

Exploring the lake was a very good surprise! I never thought that it was so beautiful! After that, I decided to explore the city!

The first thing you can do is walk close to the lake, you can see some beautiful buildings and beautiful boats. It is perfect for a romantic walk!

Next to the lake, you can find this swiss monument which is a flower clock. This flower clock is composed by 6,500 flowers and every season the plants are changed. As you may know, the best watches are made in Switzerland, that’s why this monument was created.

After visiting the Horloge fleurie (flower clock) you can visit the Jardin Anglais. It is a beautiful park where you can see some monuments and beautiful trees (and take beautiful photos).

Did you saw those pictures? Each place that I discovered was a wonderful surprise! Here, you can see the Cathédrale Saint Pierre which is a church. If you visit it, you can go on the top of it to see an amazing view of Geneva. The Old Town is so beautiful. It is amazing to go for a walk there and to take a hot chocolate…

And of course, you can’t leave Geneva without visiting it by night. Everything shines by night. Every building is lit up and there is light shows! Even the Jet d’Eau is lit up!

To conclude my trip to Geneva, I needed to see some snow! As you saw on the latest pictures, Geneva is surrounded by mountains. I followed those mountains (25 minutes by car) and I ended up in Arzier which is a little town. This little town owns the most beautiful mountains view that I have never seen! The mountains that we can see are the Jura mountains.

I just stayed there for a moment looking at this view, touching the snow and breathing! Earth give us so many beautiful things. I am so grateful to finished my year with this trip to Geneva.

Travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer
